Robert Howard "Bobby" Conrad, 67 of Sand Fork, WV; departed this earthly life in the early morning hours of Friday, March 18, 2022 at his sister's residence of Dusk Camp Run Road, following an extended illness.
He was born April 29, 1954 in Fairmont, WV; son of the late Wilbert and Lula Crites Conrad.
Bobby is a veteran of the United States Marines Corp. He retired as a truck driver for Waste Management in the Cleveland, OH; area. In his spare time Bobby enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time outdoors, spending time with family and friends, caring for his dog Molly, and enjoying retirement in West Virginia.
Bobby was united in marriage to Ardith Conrad, who preceded him in death on July 25, 2014
Surviving are 8 children, Dareleen Wesner, James Conrad, Clifford Conrad, Dawn Conrad, all of Cleveland, OH; Eileen App (Wint) of Diamond, OH; Debbie Newell (Carl) of Rootstown, OH; Maggie Austin Newton Falls, OH; Carl Dorris (Debbie) of Kent, OH; 5 siblings, Izetta Smith (Robert) of Tennessee, Wilda Cosner, of Sand Fork, Rose Conrad, Wilbert Conrad and Ernest Conrad all of Cleveland Ohio.
Also surviving are a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other wonderful family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc., 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville, WV; 26351 at 1:00 PM; Tuesday, March 22, 2022 with Pastor Bryan Groves officiating. Burial will follow in the Steele-Cosner Family Cemetery on Turkey Fork. Friends will be received from 11:00 -1:00 Tuesday at the mortuary in Glenville.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to either WV Caring Hospice or Braxton Co. Animal Shelter.
