David is survived by his parents, James, Sr. & Penny Rogers of Oglala, SD; wife, Stella Richards; daughters, Sadie, Chloe & Malaya Rogers, all of Oglala, SD; sons, David, Jr. and Elijah Rogers, both of Oglala, SD; brothers, Eric Corbine of Oglala, SD, James (Stephanie) Rogers of Red Shirt, SD, and Ethan Black of Watonga, OK; sisters, Scharee (Thomas) Rogers of Chadron, NE, and Eunice & Aubrey Black, both of Watonga, OK; paternal grandparents, Norman & Eunice Rogers; maternal grandmother, Beverly Corbine; God-daughter, Azula Watkins; 12 nieces; and 13 nephews.

David was preceded in death by his daughter, Lexis Rogers; grandfathers, Elwood Corbine, Joseph Corbine, Roy, Willard, Bernard, & Darnell Chase In Winter, Charles "Charlie Boy," Bernard, and Samuel Quiver; grandmothers, Diane, Cheryl, and Darlene Chase In Winter, Phoebe, Julia, Freda, and Elaine Quiver; great grandparents, James & Lucinda Quiver, Robert & Marie Rogers, William & Martha (Dog Trail) Chase In Winter, and William & Agnes (Big Track) Corbine; and uncle, Norman Rogers, Jr.
