Joseph "Joe" Edward Clark, 80, of McAlester, Oklahoma passed peacefully from this earth to his heavenly home on Sunday, April 17, 2022.

Family will greet friends Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chaney Harkins Funeral Home.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 21, 2022 at the Northside Assembly of God Church in McAlester, Ok with Reverend Brian Smith officiating. The burial will follow at Indianola Cemetery, Indianola, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Russell Clark, Brandon Clark, Eric Clark, Reece Miller, Michael Wilkerson, and Casey Clark.

Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Shamblin, Tod Rhyne, Dave Golden, Ron Smith, Thomas Davis, Cortland Glover, Grayson Hall and Landon Hall.

Joe graduated from Haywood High School in 1961. He married Beverly June Wilkerson in 1962 and they had two children. On October 20, 1995, Joe married Thelma Jo (Snow) Smith.

Joe retired from Boeing International after 33 years of dedicated employment. He eventually moved to the small 40-acre farm on Pyle Mountain that had been his mother's old home place. In 2014 Joe and Thelma Jo left the farm and moved to McAlester. In recent years he has enjoyed vacations in Branson, Mo., attending tractor pulls, and going to his grandchildren's ballgames.
Joe was a lifelong member of the Haywood Baptist Church where he was blessed with many close friends. After moving to McAlester, he also attended services at Northside Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife: Thelma Jo (Snow) Clark of the home; his children: Curtis Clark and wife, Ginger of McAlester, Kellye Miller and husband, Baron, of Papillion, NE, Ron Smith and wife, Tammy of Hartshorne, Michele Davis and husband, Thomas of Savanna, and Holly Rhyne and husband, Tod of Wardville; his brother: Donald Clark and wife, Betsy of Abilene, TX; his grandchildren: Brandon Clark and Summer, Russell Clark and Danielle, Eric Clark and Amber, Casey Clark, Jana Beatty and Phillip, Reece Miller, Ramsey Ramirez and Stephen, Rachel Giaudrone and Chase, Shala Smith and Blake, Ryan Smith and Maze, Ronni Golden and Dave, April Jeffries, Amanda Jeffries, Cortland Glover and Devon, Grayson Hall and Paige, Landon Hall and Bethanie, and Hannah Rhyne; 36 Great Grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his father: David Clark; his mother: Rubye Archer; his step-father: Eunice Archer; his brothers: David, Tommy, and James "Mickey"; his sisters: Billie Mos, and Pat Talbot; and his first wife: Beverly June (Wilkerson) Clark.
