Lottie Lucille Adams, age 92, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Dover, died Tuesday, August 10, 2004, at the Park Manor of Southbelt in Houston. She was born May 29, 1912, in Wing, Arkansas, and was a daughter of the late Richard "Doc" and Lavina Myrtle Kirkes Greer. She was the widow of Homer B. Adams, and had retired from Murphy's Five and Ten Cent Store in Dermott, Arkansas, where she and Mr. Adams had lived from 1936 through 1975. In 1975 they made their home in Dover. She was a Baptist. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Leon and Edwina Adams of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Lavern and Joe Sturdevant of Dover; a brother, Johnny Greer of Norman, Oklahoma; three grandchildren: Danny Sturdevant of Dover; Kayla Teeter of Cameron, Oklahoma; and Leon Adams Jr., of Houston; three step-grandchildren: Jerry Reynolds, Shelli Motley and Karen King, all of Houston; and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 P.M., Saturday, August 14, 2004, at the First Assembly of God Church in Dover with Rev. Keith Underhill officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery in Dover, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 7 to 8 P.M., at the funeral home.
