Billy Jack Henderson, age 65, of Electra, Texas passed away on Tuesday morning, April 19, 2022 in Vernon, Texas after a lengthy illness.
A Celebration oh his life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
Billy was born on October 10, 1956 in Vernon to Dorothy Northcutt Henderson and the late Jack Henderson.
Billy was a lifelong resident of Electra. He graduated from Electra High School and always considered Electra home.
Billy was employed by Johnson & Ernst for over forty years before they were bought out by Slant Operating. He continued to work for Slant Operating another year before he was forced to retire due to his illness.
Billy loved to fish and hunt. He loved his family and friends, but most of all he loved God. He loved his pastor, Early Williams, III and would talk about Jesus to anyone and everyone. He would always say he had his best church up in the pasture where he would praise God!
Billy is survived by his mother, Dorothy Henderson of Electra, daughter, Cynthia Sims and beloved son-in-law, Aldean Sims and their two sons, Deante' and Deandre' Sims of Vernon; daughter, Connie Henderson and her two daughters, Jaydin and Olivia Greenlee of Electra; along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous friends.
Billy was preceded in death by his father, Jack Henderson, brother, Michael Henderson, sister, Donna Henderson, nephew, Troy Henderson and very special friend, Deborah Lewis.
The family suggests memorials to New Hope Baptist Church, P.O. Box 427, Vernon, Texas 76384.
