Mrs. Hodge departed this life Monday afternoon, April 18, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

A native of the Hornsby area, she was a former factory worker, cafeteria worker and homemaker. She was born June 18, 1939 to Vernon Eugene Jernigan and Nellie Goodrum Jernigan. After her mother's passing at a young age, she was lovingly raised by her grandmother, Rilla Goodrum. She spent most of her life in McNairy and Hardeman counties and married Thomas Hodge on September 12, 1960. Mr. Hodge passed away September 9, 1998.

In her leisure time, she loved listening to gospel hymns, watching Wheel of Fortune, and playing search word puzzles. She especially enjoyed being around her family whom she dearly loved. She was a member of Hatchie Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Tommy Hodge, Dennis Hodge, Bobby (Camille) Hodge, all of Hornsby; her daughters, Tammy (Wayne) Luttrell of Middleton and Sheila (Kent) Wilbanks of Tiplersville, MS; eleven grandchildren, Thomas, Timmy, Bryan, Josh and David Hodge, Wesley, McKenzie and Hadley Wilbanks, and Kevin, Ethan and Ereka Luttrell; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Hodge; her parents, Vernon and Nellie Jernigan; her sisters, Dorothy Grantham, Elizabeth Hodge and Martha England; an infant brother, Curly Ray Jernigan and one great-grandchild.
