Jackie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ted R. Poole; daughter, Connie S. Poole; son, Ted Russell Poole, Jr.; grandson, Spencer B. Poole; granddaughter, Kristina E. Poole.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin L. Poole; parents, John W. Barrett and Willie E. Horton Barrett; brothers, Glenn Barrett and James "Sonny" Barrett.
Jackie was born in Helena, AL on September 27, 1940. She moved with her family at an early age to Montgomery, AL where she met and married Ted R. Poole. Jackie had an exciting life as a military wife for 20 years. She lived in several states and 2 foreign countries.
Jackie moved to Decatur, AL when her husband retired from the Air Force in 1975.
Jackie worked as a cashier at Walmart for 10 years. She was a stay at home wife, mother and grandmother. Jackie dedicated her life to caring for her family. She was loving mother to her 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
Jackie was a member of Flint Independent Methodist Church and love the Lord. Jackie was dearly loved by all who she met. She will forever be missed. "Blessed are those who mourn: for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4
