Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Village Chapel Funeral Home for Larry Gene Hamrick, 62, Gadsden, who passed away Friday, October 3, 2003. Bros. Frank Umphrey and Russ Golden will officiate. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Village Chapel Funeral Home is in charge.
Mr. Hamrick was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and was a faithful member of New Hope Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Hamrick and father-in-law, Chester Roberson.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Hamrick; daughter, Camilla Cleveland, Boaz; sons, Greg (Susan) Hamrick, Tuscaloosa, Eddie (Vikki) Cleveland, Crossville, Derrick (Jan) Hamrick, Southside, and Carmen McWhorter, Altoona; mother, Ina Hamrick, Attalla; sister, Inez McCollum, Hoover; mother-in-law, Odessa Roberson, Altoona; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Ray Roberson, Tom Martin, James Roberson, Glenn Kilgore, Royce Kilgore and Bill Chumley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Irwin, Jerry Hopper, Bill Thomas, Robert Simmons, Daryl Collins, Eugene Oliver, WM Blackwell and former co-workers of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and Donald and Melba Wood.
