Joseph W. Hirsch, age 22 of Galesburg, passed on April 15, 2022. He was born on July 7, 1999, in Kalamazoo, the son of William Hirsch, Jr. and Christine (Green) Hirsch. Joe was a dedicated, loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Joe spent his youth in the Kalamazoo-Portage area and attended Portage Northern High School in the Class of 2018. He had thrived in his work in maintenance with Medallion Management, whom he had worked for since 2018. Joe married the love of his life Alex Weaver on June 28, 2020. They were blessed with two beautiful little boys, Ryan(3) and Axel(1), who Joe loved and cherished so much. These boys were Joe's whole world. Joe worked hard for him and his family to have everything they needed in life.

His family includes his wife, Alex; his sons, Ryan and Axel; his mom, Christine Hirsch; his father, William Hirsch, Jr.; his sister, Danielle (Jason Pesch) Hirsch; his brother, Joshua (Jaylyn Smith) Hirsch; his bonus parents, Steve and Bonnie Pitsch; his grandparents: Danny (Alynda) Green and Anita Hirsch; his parents-in-law: Sally Bruns and Arthur (Becky) Weaver; his siblings-in-law: Emalee Bruns, Devin Bruns, Alexandria Bruns, Brianna Weaver, Sara Bruns, and Dayle Bruns; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.

Joe had a heart of gold, was a true friend, and was loved by all those who had the pleasure of meeting him. His smile lit up any room he walked into, he could befriend anyone. Joe was kind, loving, caring, and had THE BEST LAUGH. If you knew Joe you can hear it now. Joe was the sweetest person you would ever have met. He was the life of the party and would go out of his way to be the helping hand, the crying shoulder, the good guy, the jokester, and so much more. Joe was an amazing person whom we all held so close to our hearts, he touched us all in some way or another and changed our lives for the better. He will be missed terribly by all the ones who loved and adored him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ruth Green and William Hirsch, Sr.

Friends may visit with his family on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
