The suspect in a March 5 shooting outside a north side sub shop was charged Friday with first-degree intentional homicide.
Prince Dashun Key, 21, of the 4400 block of N. 53rd St., faces a mandatory life sentence without parole if convicted of the charge. He is accused of fatally shooting Larry D. Vann, 27, outside the American Subs restaurant at N. 11th St. and W. North Ave. at 2 a.m. March 5 after a brief altercation inside the store, according to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court.
A witness told investigators that Key fired on a group of men outside the sub shop from the passenger side of a departing car, the complaint says. Vann was hit once in the abdomen and bled to death, according to autopsy results.
