Marlene E. Marshall, 87, of Hyde Park, NY, died on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at home in the care and company of her family.

Born on January 11, 1935, in Poughkeepsie, NY, she was the daughter of Judson H. Manning and Esther R. Manning. On September 7, 1958, she married William H. Marshall, Jr. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Poughkeepsie, NY. Bill died on February 15, 1991.

Marlene was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School, class of 1953. She was employed in her younger years by New York Telephone Company. After marrying, she devoted her life to raising her children. Continuing a tradition of family service, Marlene was a life member of Roosevelt Fire District, Engine Company #2. She took great pleasure being involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are: son and daughter-in-law, William H. and Kelley Marshall, IV, of Hyde Park, NY, daughter and son-in-law, Pamela A. and husband Scott Miller, Hyde Park, NY; daughter, Darlene L. Marshall, Hyde Park, NY; grandchildren, William H. Marshall, V., Meagan K. Marshall, Brian S. Miller, Timothy W. Miller, Erin E. Miller, Sara B. Miller all of Hyde Park, NY; great-grandchildren, James S. Miller, Avery G. Miller, Eliza M. Miller, and Timothy C. Miller, all of Hyde Park, NY.

Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park. The Roosevelt Fire Department will begin services at 6:30PM during calling hours. Graveside funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Union Cemetery of Hyde Park, 1076 Violet Ave., Hyde Park, NY.
