Howard Wilson Drake, 83, of Huntsville passed away Thursday. Mr. Drake, a World War II veteran, retired from NASA and was a lifetime member of the DAV. He was also a member of First Baptist Church, the American Legion and the Sons of the American Revolution.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Maze Drake; sons, Howard Mitchell "Mickey" Drake of Brownsboro and Gary L. Drake of Scottsboro; stepson, James "Jimmy" R. Cobb Jr. of Arab; brother, Bobby G. Drake and wife Joan of Atlanta; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel with Dr. Ralph Langley and Dr. John David Hall officiating. Burial will be in the Drake Family Cemetery.
