KASSEL - Karen H., passed away on July 14, 2021. She was the daughter of Abraham and Rebecca Hochstein. She was also a sister, aunt, cousin, friend, colleague, teacher and a kind and beautiful human being. The world is a sadder place now with her gone. God needed an angel, and now she is in Heaven. She grew up in Jamaica Estates, attended Jamaica High School, Ithaca College for her undergraduate and Boston University for her graduate studies. An excellent speech therapist, she worked in the NYC Public School System for 27.5 years. She loved her friends so much, loved to read, go to Broadway shows, the movies, dinners, concerts, Alvin Ailey, museums and especially those trips to Europe and Israel with the love of her life, Yoav Grossman. She had a dry wit and a heart of gold. She was a very charitable woman, giving to many causes, especially to cancer. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Yoav, her brother Stephen Hochstein, his girlfriend Barbara, nephews Robert Hochstein and Donald Hochstein, their wives Leslie and Gia, their children Jacob, Eli and Oliver. She loved all of you so much. She was loved by so many and touched their lives in indescribable ways. She lived her life to the fullest, wanting to see and do everything, packing in so many great things in those 72 years. Her life, light, spirit and memory will be with us forever. We love and miss you so much Karen.
