Daughter of Ralph & Zelma (Hatten) Stull.

Grandma was a leader for the Progressive Go Getters 4-H Club for 25 years. She taught many projects including crocheting, knitting and sewing but her main area of teaching became entomology. When my uncle Terry wanted to collect insects and no one else wanted to teach the subject grandma agreed to do it.

As a kid I remember when she raised australian walking sticks, mexican cockroaches and several different types of moths. I also remember stalking the restroom lights at campgrounds for any interesting bugs. For many years she took her collection to Jackson area schools (mine included) and shared them with the students.

Over the years she became quite an expert on the subject and even connected with the entomology department at Michigan State University. When she died our family donated her 1000+ insect collection to the university. (Dawn Comstock)
