Randy Lee Bates was born February 26, 1958, to the late Mr. Levert Bates and Mrs. Delia Perkins-Bates. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Levert Bates, Jr., and Sam Bates. He departed this life on Monday, April 11, 2022, at North Alabama Medical Center. He confessed to Christ at an early age and joined Mount. New Home M.B. Baptist Church. He later attended Bible Way Church in Florence, Alabama, where he faithfully served until his illness. He leaves to cherish his memories: five sisters, Betty Bates and Endia Goodwin, both of Leighton, AL, Ruthie Bates, and Evelyn Bates, both of Sheffield, AL; and Dorothy Little of Decatur, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
