Edna Juanice (Smith) Hopkins Bailey

She was the daughter of Rufus "Bud" and Mable Adella (Maxwell) Smith and married Carlton James Hopkins. She later married Howard William Bailey - 11 Jan 1979 - Franklin Co., Tennessee. Her obituary follows:

Edna Juanice Bailey, age 68, a homemaker and resident of Cowan, died June 14 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center. She was the daughter of Rufus Bud and Mable Adella Maxwell Smith. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Kay "Susie" Brannan. Surviving are a daughter, Carla Prince of Cowan; two sons, Wayne Hopkins of Tullahoma, and Donald Ray Hopkins of Cowan; three sisters, Judy Welcher of Palestine, Texas, Bonnie Carmain of Winchester, and Jobina Collins of Decherd; three brothers, Buddy Smith of Winchester, Lawrence Smith of Eustace, Texas, and H. L. Smith of Dallas, Texas; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted today (Thursday) June 17, at 1 p.m. from Moore-Cortner Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Cowan-Montgomery Cemetery.
