Mr. Steward was an automobile mechanic for Burnetto Brothers Mobil in Benld.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors: two sons, Brian Steward of Alton and Aaron Steward of Catawba, S.C.; two daughters, Christine (husband, Herbert) Cope of Alton and Robin Steward of Catawba; two grandchildren; five brothers, Andrew J. Steward III and Robert W. (wife, Kimberly) Steward Sr., both of Raymond, Ronald D. (wife, Betty) Steward Sr. of Dorchester, Patrick L. (wife, Deana) Steward of Arnold, Mo., and Phillip M. Steward of Carlinville; and two sisters, Norma L. (husband, Charles) Carlsen of Litchfield and Mildred L. (husband, John) Hopper of Gillespie.
