Kimberly Dawn Dodd, age 47, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday April 10th, 2022.

Kim was born November 3, 1974, at St. Mary's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1983, she moved to Yakima with her parents, Dennis and Vicie and two sisters, Michelle and Jennifer. She attended Broadway Elementary, Lewis and Clark Middle School, and Eisenhower High School, where she made many lifelong friends. While attending school, Kim played flute in the band and participated in Young Life.

Kim was always very family oriented, and began her own family in 1992, with the birth of her first daughter Kaetlyn Danielle, and her second daughter Ember Reign followed in 1996.

In 1999 Kim packed up Kaeti and Em and moved to Western Washington to start a new life. She and her little family lived in the Bothell and Kenmore area. In 2011, she moved to Bellingham, Washington, where she lived the remainder of her days. Although it wasn't easy being a single Mom, she did her best not to let her girls see her struggle. Money might have been tight, but she did her best to give Kaeti, and Em life experiences. She always saw experiences and memories as being more important than traditional gifts. Kim loved living on the Western side of the state, and she was proud of the life she had built for herself and her girls.

Kimberly spent most of her working years doing administrative work in escrow, and most recently construction. She was very smart and could figure just about anything out. She was immensely proud and hated asking for help.

Everyone who knew her would tell you that her kids, and grandchildren were her entire world. She was the most kind-hearted, amazing friend, sister, daughter, mother and Greeka to her grandchildren. She would refer to her grandkids as her "little loves." She would go out of her way to be there for anyone who needed her. She loved fiercely with every fiber of her being.

Kim was passionate about music, especially Texas Country. She loved music that wasn't played on the radio, and always had the perfect song for any occasion. She loved introducing family and friends to artists they never would have heard of otherwise.

She was always planning her next adventure, and never let the grass grow under her feet. She loved to travel with her girls and grandkids and would say "Adventure is a Family Value." Some of her favorite destinations were Texas, Montana, Las Vegas and the Washington and Oregon coast. She also loved camping and visiting Leavenworth.

It is utterly impossible to condense the impact Kim had on her loved ones and even her acquaintances in her short 47 years. Everyone who knew her was affected by her bright light, contagious smile, and the love she expressed with her beautiful blue eyes.

She is preceded in death by her Grandma and Grandpa Kramer, Grandma and Grandpa Quigley, Aunt Karen Quigley-Feis, Uncle Ronald Quigley, and niece Cassandra Turner.

Kim is survived by her parents, Dennis and Vicie Kramer, sisters, Michelle Joe and Jennifer Kramer-Paul, daughters Kaetlyn Dodd and Ember Draper, Grandchildren; Micah, Sophia, Joshua, and Rylan, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Those she left behind will do our best to live by the example Kim set for us and strive to live our lives to the fullest.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Brookside Funeral Home in Moxee at 9 a.m. followed by a graveside service at Tahoma Cemetery in Yakima.
