Samuel Ernest Johnson known as "Sam", "Sammy ", or "Papaw" to his friends and family was born in Dallas, TX in the community of Field City on July 22, 1938.
For 83 years Sam never left the area, settling in Farmers Branch.
Sam raised up 5 children, 8 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Geraldine Johnson.
On April 15, 2022 one of the greatest hunters, fisherman, and family men of all time entered the gates of heaven and awaits us to join him some day.
Sam has been an active charter member of Central Park Baptist Church for 62 years.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday April 23 at Central Park Baptist Church 1005 E Jackson Rd. Carrollton, TX 75006
