Robert was born May 31, 1935, in Erwin, N.C. son of the late William Herman and Lila Norris West. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William R. West.
Robert West, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. He came from humble beginnings to become an international businessman. After several years working in the Middle East, some 40 years later, he still has strong ties and friendships in Kuwait. After coming home from Kuwait, he enjoyed giving his testimony at many local churches. He spoke concerning his travels and near-death experiences in a Kuwait hospital. A man that loved his Savior with his whole heart. Loved his family and did all he could to show that love. He loved to read his Bible, work in his yard and hunt golf balls. He will be missed by his family, but we know we will see him again one day. Even though he will be missed, we know he is finally healed and with his Savior.
