Ms. Betty Ann Watson, 74, of Albany, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022, in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Cooper will officiate, and the family will visit with friends following the service.

Born June 12, 1947, in Colquitt, Ms. Watson was the daughter of the late William Peterson and Ester Barnett Peterson. She was a talented cosmetologist for many years and served in the tax preparation business. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything in life and loved working in her yard. She was of the Christian faith and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her parents Ms. Watson was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Rooks, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Phyllis Howell and Randy of Barney, Sidney Ligon and Hank of Raleigh, N.C., Angela Bullard and Chris of Lee County, and Larry Christmas and Trisha of Albany; siblings, Billy, Susan, Ginger, Claire "LuLu", Mary Ann, and Stephanie; 12 grandchildren, Ashely and Chuck, Alicia and Mark, Jonathan, Crystal and Chad, Kip and Hannah, Macey and Jay, Stephen, Christopher, Magen and Ryan, Kiersten and Chris, Tanner, Eli and Jen ; and 18 great-grandchildren, Bella, Darren, Daylon, Ryan, Zack, Shayne, Trenton, Garrett, Kaden, Logan, Paisley, Summer, Matthew, Sammy, Ryder, Avalynn, Addilynn, and Carson.
