Joan King Henderson (nee Wise), 92 of Avon Lake, formerly of Bay Village and Lorain peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family after a quick illness on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.
She was born January 18, 1930 to parents Joseph and Mary (nee Smoley) Wise in Pittsburgh, PA.
Joan was a graduate of Lorain High School and received her bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University. She was a Country Club Manager for Avon Oaks (23 years), Columbia Hills (2 years) and for Lakewood (18 years) before retiring. She enjoyed golf, gambling with her sister, cocktail hour, shopping, travel and found joy spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving children Steve Saley (Linda), Jeff Saley (Natalie), Scott Saley, Debbie Parsons (Rich), Kris Or and Doug King (Peggy); cherished grandchildren April, Nikki, Bill, Marissa, Adam, Rachel and Sean; 4 great-grandchildren; dear sister Sandy Jennings and loving niece and nephew Candi and Jimmy.
She is preceded by her parents; son Robert Hungerford; daughter Sharon Saley; and her husbands Cliff Henderson and William King - the true Love of her life.
