He was kind, a story teller, and a loving grandfather with a twinkle in his eye as a playmate, friend and supporter to his grandchildren. He served six years in the Navy Reserve, including two years on assignment in Okinawa, Japan. Graduating from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Theatre Arts he became involved in the theatre community in Minneapolis and St. Paul. His first jobs were with Old Log Theatre and Theater St. Paul. Later, as a Commercial Photographer (a trait learned from his father who worked at the St. Paul Pioneer Press and Dispatch) he specialized in photographing theatre productions and their promotions. One of his photographs is embedded outside the entrance to the Guthrie Theatre. He attended Willard Elementary, Lincoln Jr. High and North High School, graduating in 1956, all on the North side of Minneapolis,. He left an indelible impression on all who crossed his path. His Life will be Celebrated Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Theatre in the Round, 245 Cedar Ave., Minneapolis. Refreshments will precede the presentation.
