Sharon Kay Russell Richey was born on September 21st, 1948 in Muskogee, OK, the daughter of John Ross and Maggie Mae (Lovett) Russell-White. She grew up with two brothers, James and David Russell. Upon graduating from high school, she decided on becoming a beautician, and she worked for Eastwood Beauty Salon until her retirement. She met her future husband in the eighth grade, and married the love of her life, Marion Charles Richey, or "MC" to his family and friends, on June 13th, 1969 in Ft. Gibson, OK. This union was blessed with two sons, John Charles and Michael Ray. The most important part of Sharon's life was caring for her husband, children and their home. She had three men to feed and she did a good job, making mouthwatering roasts, potpie, Mexican Salad, and the best pies and cakes ever. She was equally talented with her hands, making Native inspired jewelry, crafting, woodworking and painting ceramics. She enjoyed going out to shop or taking "MC" out dancing for the night. Sharon loved to tease, liked a funny joke, and any chance she had to see her grandchildren, she couldn't wait. She had a kind smile, and her eyes lit up every time she talked or told a story. A Christian by faith, she was a Baptist and enjoyed gospel singing. She had problems with her health and she passed from this life on April 13th, 2022 with the family she adored close by. She was 73 years old and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by grandparents, Gladys Lovett and Maggie Lovett, her Mom and Dad, two brothers, James and David Russell, grandson Adam Richey and stepfather, Ray White. Sharon's memory will be cherished by her husband, MC Richey of the home in Ft. Gibson, two sons, John Charles Richey and wife Donna of Woodall, OK, and Michael Ray Richey of Okay, OK. She lives on in her nine grandchildren, Matthew Richey, Nicholas Richey and wife Samantha, Lucas Richey, Cody Richey, Jaxon Richey, Danita Adams, Blaine Adams, and Royanne Adams. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
