Veronica Renee Jarmon Freeman was born on June 21, 1963, to the late Gertha Lee Lewis Jarmon and Masciner Jarmon in Colbert County. She was the granddaughter of the late Earl R. Jarmon, Mary Owens, Mary Pearsall Burt, and Meather Lewis, Sr. Early in life she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. She was a 1981 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School. Veronica was a hardworking, devoted, and compassionate worker in the food service industry for most of her adult life. She sometimes worked two jobs consecutively to provide for her daughters. For many years she was employed by Jack's, Hardee's,McDonald's, Wendy's, and the Shell gas station in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Toward the end of her working career, she was employed by Pilgrim's Pride in Russellville, Alabama. She loved her family and absolutely adored her two daughters and her grandchildren. She was married to Anderson James Freeman of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. No children were born to this marriage. She was preceded in death by one sister, Sharron Thompson. She is survived by: her husband, Anderson Freeman; two daughters, Jerita Alyssa Hampton and Chiquita Sharnee Hampton of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; four grandchildren, Jaleesia Mullins, Layla Mullins, Kamari Darby, and Destiny Stanley; three sisters, Edna McPherson, Dorothy Burgess, and Reja Jarmon of Muscle Shoals,Alabama; eight brothers, Thomas Thompson of Murfreesboro,Tennessee, Robert Thompson, Charles Jarmon, and Larry Jarmon, both of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Marvin Thompson of Florence,Alabama, Michael Jarmon, and Billy Ray Jarmon both of Athens,Alabama, and Claiborn Thompson of Moultrie, Georgia; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives.
