Teresa Emerson Dawson, 56, of Amelia, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. She was reunited in Heaven with her daughter, Amber Dawson Weyant, mother, Estelle Emerson and her granddaughter, Lorelai Dawson. She survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jimmy Dawson; son, James Dawson (Samantha); father, Hubert Emerson (Judy); sisters, Pam Goin (Otis) and Rose King (Jerry); son in-law, Eric Weyant; grandchildren, Brycen, Hayden, Dawson and Malcolm. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends have also shared in Teresa's loving life. Teresa was born and raised in Amelia. She retired as a registered nurse after 28 years. She was long-time member of Second Street Baptist where her daddy was the Pastor. Teresa was a faithful servant of the Lord and also loved horses and dogs and especially loved her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, April 18, 2022 at Love Covenant Fellowship, 17897 W. Pridesville Rd., where her funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
