Michael J. Gallagher, 81, of Mill Hall, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022 at his home.
Born August 2, 1940 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late John P. and Esther Shuman Gallagher.
Mike was a 1959 graduate of Lock Haven High School and a Veteran of the United States Army.
On October 21, 1961 in Lock Haven, he married the love of his life, Doris J. Gallagher, who survives.
He retired from Hammermill Paper Company after 37 years of service and was the owner and operator of Mike's Ammo & Trapping Supplies for over 30 years.
Mike loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and trapping. He was an avid fan of old western movies and television shows. Most of all, he simply enjoyed the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Doris, he is survived by a son, Dale (Kelly) Gallagher of Mill Hall; a daughter-in-law, Tina Gallagher of Lock Haven; four grandchildren, Megan (Robert) Aungst of Mill Hall, Stephen (Kail) Gallagher, Jr. of Lock Haven, Brock (Emily) Gallagher of Mill Hall and Bo Gallagher of Lock Haven; and two great-grandchildren, Braelinn and Cannon Aungst.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Gallagher, Sr.; and his parents-in-law, Harry and Mildred Gallagher.
A time of viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Pennsylvania Trappers Association.
