Peter H. Marsh, age 75, of Stevens Point, WI passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, At Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Deacon Tom Anderson will officiate the service. Visitation will take place from 2:00PM – 4:30 PM on Thursday at the Funeral Home. Burial will take place on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Lakeview Cemetery in Phillips, WI. Military rites will be performed at the cemetery.
Peter was born on October 29, 1946, to Harris and Carmen (Sherette) Marsh. He graduated from Wisconsin Rapids, Lincoln High School in 1964. Peter was a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1971. For his working career, Peter went on to own Big Moon Saloon, and Mobile Chef Catering in the Stevens Point area. Peter always loved to play and watch sports. He was a Wisconsin state qualifier in wrestling in high school, and went on to wrestle at UW-Whitewater at the collegiate level. He always enjoyed cheering on the Stevens Point Pointers, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers. He was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity in Stevens Point, as well as the Portage County Tavern League.
Peter is survived by his significant other Becky Walenski of Stevens Point, WI; his brothers, Patrick (Georgia) Marsh of Madison, WI, and Roger (Deb) Marsh of Wausau, WI; sisters, Roberta Mitchell of Baraboo, WI, and Harriet (Rich) Brotske of Ripon, WI; Nephews, Jason, Kelly, and Joey; nieces, Terri, Chris, Susan, Jamie, Lisa, and Jessica; as well as many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Harris and Carmen Marsh; as well as his brother-in-law Fred Mitchell.
