Charles "Chuck" W. Seward M.D. went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2022.

A celebration of Chuck's life will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 10am at the Lake Tanglewood Community Church with Dr. Roger Hubbard presiding.

Chuck was born February 24, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Horace Norman and Vera Jane Seward. He graduated from Classen High School and attended Central State College. He graduated from the University Of Oklahoma School Of Medicine and interned and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baptist Memorial Hospital before doing fellowships in hematology and rheumatology at Washington University/Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He met and married Phyllis Ann while in Residency in Oklahoma City at Baptist Memorial Hospital in 1969.

He served on active duty in Service School at Lowry AFB, Denver, CO and completed his military service as an Aeromedical Technician in the National Guard Unit Oklahoma City in 1960.

He was a beloved physician in the Amarillo and Medical Community for many years. He was one of the original 9 physicians that founded The Amarillo Diagnostic Clinic where he served 25 years before serving with the Senior Health Center and Osage Medical Center as Physician in Charge. He twice served as Chairman of the Coffee Memorial Blood bank, Chairman of the Lake Tanglewood Church Board, and Board of Directors at Lake Tanglewood as a member. He co-founded Palo Duro Indian Trading Company with his wife Phyllis in 1991 which was recently closed in 2021 after 30 years in business.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife and companion of 40 years; Phyllis, his parents and both brothers, John Seward and Norm Seward. He is survived by his two daughters Sabrina and Charisse, two step-daughters Jama Greenlee and husband Mike of Midwest City, Oklahoma and Mikki Morris of Amarillo, TX, three grandchildren Jimmy Claypool of Midwest City, OK, Grayson Morris of Amarillo TX, and Payton Morris of Amarillo, TX and five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and special friend Cora LaGrone
