Robert Ray Lloyd, age 79, of Sheridan, Indiana, departed this life on Monday evening, April 11, 2022, at Sunrise on Old Meridian in Carmel, IN. Born September 2, 1942, in Scott County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Harold and Ethel (Sexton) Lloyd.

Robert graduated from Scott County High School with the Class of 1961. After graduating, he attended Middle Tennessee State where he obtained a bachelor's degree. After graduation, he moved to Indianapolis, IN to work at General Motors where he became a Pipefitter till the time he retired in August of 2004. Even though he was retired, he still found something to keep his hands busy. From working on electrical to helping bartend at his friend's bar, Robert was always busy.

Even during his retirement, he found the time to be with his daughter and her family. He was a proud Pappy, who loved his grandchildren dearly. He was always collecting change in order to give it to his grandchildren, to giving them random gifts that he knew they would love. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he was always there to cheer them on. Whether that be during a basketball game, a softball or baseball game, or just to watch his little girl Cheer, he was always there in his seat cheering along with them.

He loved hanging out with his friends at their local spot, and never met a stranger. He was a loyal friend to many and always was the first to help those in need. Robert was knowledgeable in almost everything he did, so many would call for his help. If that meant that Robert could fix something, he was the person to call.

Robert is survived by the mother of his daughter, Lora Sexton (Lloyd). He is also survived by his daughter, Melissa (Paul) Stultz, as well as one brother, Harold Lloyd. He is survived by his two grandchildren, Grayson Stultz and Hadley Stultz, whom he now watches over every day. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, April 15th, 2022, from 11a-1p.
