Daniel Fisher, 43, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls. Visitation with family present will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2022, also at the funeral home. Interment will take place at a later date at the South Dakota State Veteran's Cemetery in Sioux Falls.

Daniel Joel Fisher, son of Henry and Barbara (Griffioen) Fisher was born December 20, 1978, in Sibley, Iowa. He graduated from Sibley-Ocheyedan High School in 1997. He entered the United States Marine Corps from 1997 to 2001 and he exemplified all of the attributes that made him one of the few and the proud. Daniel was always quick to earn trust. His background in logistics and processes allowed him to manage teams of 30 or more with efficiency. During his time in the Marines, he was stationed at Camp Lejune, NC. He was united in marriage to his best friend, Abby Grave on September 11, 1999, and they were blessed with children Riley and Shelby. He later served in the United States Army from 2002 to 2006; during that time was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY, Aviano Airforce Base in Italy, and served on tour in Ballad, Iraq from 2003-2004. After earning his Honorable Discharge in 2006, he worked at Polytainers in Lee's Summit, MO and in the Army Reserves. He reenlisted in 2013 in the Army and was honorably discharged in 2020. He was stationed at Seoul, South Korea, and Ft. Sill, OK. Then he went to Ft. Gordon, GA for training for Electrolmag SPC MGR then back to South Korea.

He was later united in marriage to Donghwa Nam in South Korea on November 28, 2016, and was blessed with a son Jack in 2017. His hobbies included fishing, spending time with his family, reading, and gaming.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Riley and Shelby Fisher of Lee's Summit, MO; Donghwa Nam and his son, Jack of South Korea; parents, Henry and Barbara Fisher of Sioux Falls; siblings, Jim (Andrea) Fisher of Sioux Falls, Mark (Tami) Fisher of Le Mars, IA, and Rachel (Derric) West of Colorado Springs, CO; best friend, Abby Fisher of Lee Summit, MO; mother-in-law, Kris Grave of George, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kamden Reese Fisher; and father-in-law, Richard Grave.
