"Roy S. West, 86, east Kansas City, died Feb. 16, 1993, in the Kendallwood Trails Nursing Center, Gladstone. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at White Chapel Cemetery. Mr. West was born in Smithville and was a lifelong area resident. He was a meat cutter for Safeway Stores, Inc., for 25 years before he retired.
