Edwards, Richard "Dick". Passed away on April 7, 2022 at Guardian Angel Homes in Liberty Lake. He was 87 years old. Dick was born on November 27, 1934 in Spokane to Edward Edwards and Edna Graham Edwards. He was an only child. He spent the first 12 years of his life on the farm in Hartline that his grandparents homesteaded. Due to health issues, the family moved to a dairy farm south of Spokane where Dick attended Chester School and later Central Valley High School. While in high school he met his future wife Terril "Terrie" Mudgett and they were married on January 17, 1953. Dick and Terrie returned to the family farm in Hartline and Dick took over the operation. They had four children.

Dick farmed full time until his three sons came back to the farm. He became their mentor and teacher. Dick and Terrie traveled to Arizona every winter for many years. In 2008 they moved to Evergreen Fountains in Spokane where Terrie passed away in 2010. After Terrie's death, Dick met and fell in love with Donna "Donnie" Rugel. Dick and Donnie loved each other and had many good times together. We are grateful to Donnie for her love and care for Dick, especially during the last 2 ½ years.

Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a dedicated farmer and a friend to many. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a great laugh. Dick is survived by his children, Bill, Mike, Vonnie, John and his loving companion, Donnie. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 57 years Terrie.
