A celebration of life service for Captain Kenneth DeVaughn Allen will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Allen Temple A.M.E. Church, 2101 N. Lowe Street, Tampa, Florida at 3:00 P.M Rev. Dr. Glenn B. Dames, Jr. with Rev. Charles R. Ramsey of St. John A.M.E. Church, Officiating.

Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Tampa, Florida.

Captain Kenneth DeVaughn Allen was born in Tampa, Florida on October 6, 1948 to the late Mrs. Catherine Estella Allen Williams and Adolph Williams.

His education includes attending St. Peter Claver Catholic School, Middleton High School, Hillsborough Community College, Bethune Cookman College (University) and University of South Florida. His highest educational achievement was when he graduated from the FBI National Academy's 132 Session in Quantico, Virginia March 25, 1983.
He started his law enforcement career with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office June 26, 1972 and served until retiring on June 30, 2003. His church memberships include New St. Paul A.M.E., Tampa where the Rev. Patrick Crews is Pastor and St. John A.M.E., Fairburn, Georgia where the Rev. Charles R. Ramsey, Jr. is the Pastor.
Being a product of the Allen Family's love and guidance and recipient of the Selmore Family's sharing of love and support, he leaves many family members and friends who THANK GOD for his mentoring, protecting, guiding and loving them. Leading the rejoicing of thankfulness is his loving wife, Mrs. Jacqueline R. Allen whom he married in 1970; their children, Captain Kenneth D. Allen, II (Commercial Airline Pilot) and Kavonna P. Allen (Biomedical Engineer). These he considered his priceless jewels that GOD blessed him with by bringing them into his life. This is his legacy he leaves behind.
