JEANETTE LONG OBITUARY
Jeanette Webb Long

Shreveport, LA - Jeanette Webb Long, 83 of Shreveport, LA, went home to be with the Lord on April 12, 2015. Graveside services honoring Jeanette will be at 12 noon Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Avenue. Officiating will be Pastor Jon Isbell and Brother Bill Kincaid, of Baptist Tabernacle. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel.

Jeanette was born in Shreveport on March 8, 1932 and passed away following a long illness. She and Bill loved to camp and travel in their motor home. Jeanette will always be remembered for her love for her family, husband, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lonie Webb, and spouse of 53 years, Billy J. Long. She is survived by her two children, Terry Long and Judy Weaver and her husband Danny; grandchildren, Kyndal Shockley of Shreveport, LA and Joshua Long of Katy, TX; great-grandchildren, Erin Knighton and Caitlyn, Erin and Aubrey Long; sister-in-law, Mrs. Patty McCoy and niece Ms. Gay Stripling both of Bullard, TX; niece, Vicki Winter and husband, Glenn of Sylacauga, AL; nephew, Randy McCugh and wife, Cyndy of Tyler, TX.

Honoring Jeanette as pallbearers will be Bill Byram, Lee Irvin, Charles Knox, Jim Shockley, John Roy Fulco, and Henry Simons.

The family would like to thank mom's caregivers, Lottie Johns, Pam, Melinda, the staff of The Guest House Nursing Home. Shari Powell and Barbara Beene of Gamble Care Hospice for their love and compassion to mom through her journey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Long's honor to The National Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mrs. Long (Mom) will be greatly missed, she was a wonderful Mother.
