Russell Palmes Green passed away on March 5, 2022 at Flagler Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Russell was one of 4 children born to his late parents, William and Mary Green in St. Augustine. Following his graduation from St. Augustine High in 1976 he pursued a career in carpentry. His natural talent and enthusiasm for the trade eventually led him into Architectural Woodworking. During his 25 + years of employment with George Doro Company in Jacksonville, Russell traveled extensively designing and installing hospital cabinetry. His most proud accomplishments included working on the Wayne Weaver million dollar wall at Wolfson's Children's Hospital in Jacksonville and designing and building his personal home. He was an active member of the St. Augustine chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, an avid fisherman and quite an accomplished "home cook". He loved spending time with his granddaughters and cuddling up on the couch with his wife Peggy, the love of his life and his Boston terrier, Oliver. Russell is survived by his daughter, Golda Marie Nance and her husband Derrick Nance; son, Russell David Green; brother, Frank Green; sister Edith Good; granddaughters. His daughter, Edith Lynn Green and brother, Billy Green preceded him in death.
