Patricia Louise Nicholson Wood age 74, died suddenly Tuesday January 11, 2021 at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center.
Pat was born in Frio County, TX to the late Harvey and Ann Nicholson. She earned a Bachelor of Science in math from VCU and a Masters of Education from USC. Pat was a member of Socastee United Methodist Church and a part of their Hope Circle. Pat's passion was teaching and she found her place the corporate world. She retired from Blue Cross/ Blue Shield after 17 years. Pat loved yellow roses, the color blue and was known for her keen sense of humor. She was in awe of Gods wonders such as the Grand Canyon and our beaches. She and her husband, Al would try to take trips every other year, two of their favorites included Alaska and Hawaii.
Pat is survived by her husband Roy Allen Wood Jr., a son, Christopher Drew Wood and wife Stephanie of Reidsville, NC, a daughter, Krys Wood-Elmore and husband Tom of Columbia, three grandchildren; Sophie, Gabriel and Georgia Wood, brother, Franklin Nicholson and sisters; Lillian Ammann, Mary Jones and Nancy Nicholson. Her parents and brother Matt Nicholson have died.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 pm on-January 16 at Socastee united Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Socastee UMC fellowship fund 5575 Dick Pond Rd. Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
