Wesley Junior Price, age 90, passed of natural causes at his home in Springfield, Missouri on April 11, 2022. He was born on February 4, 1932, in Wheatland, Missouri. Wesley married Ruth Irene Davidson on February 4, 1951, at her parents' home in Springfield, Missouri. Wesley was a member of Highlandville First Baptist Church, in Highlandville, Missouri.

Wesley learned his trade as a carpenter at an early age, working with his father. After years of work experience, Wesley became a self-employed home builder and foreman of his own work crew. His final projects before retirement from construction work were in Southwest Village Subdivision in Springfield. Upon his retirement, Wesley and his wife Ruth opened Selmore Trading Post, a small antique store. Wesley used his carpentry skills to refinish furniture for their shop. His skill at this hobby produced many beautiful pieces which are still enjoyed by many people across the country.

In his younger years, Wesley enjoyed fishing with friends and family members. He always enjoyed the lake. He and his wife and daughters spent many relaxing, fun-filled summers at Lake Pomme de Terre while camping and water skiing. Wesley also loved music and learned to play guitar at an early age. He would often gather with family and friends to play and sing country and gospel music. Wesley also played bass guitar and later in life played dobro. He passed on his love of music to his four daughters who often joined him at music gatherings with family and friends.

Wesley was preceded in death by his father John Price and mother Viola; two sisters, Dee Blackwell and Donna Curtman, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Wesley is survived by his spouse of 71 years, Ruth Irene Price, his children Sandra Moffet and husband Don, Connie Baker and husband Jim, Debra Ferrell and husband Boone, and Ruby Sims; 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral were held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri.
