Wesley Chase Smith, 42, of Thomaston, GA died Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston, GA.
Chase, as he was best known was born February 5, 1980 in Thomaston, GA the son of Daniel Clifton Smith and Vicki Fuller Smith. Chase was the Co-Manager of the Big Chic in Manchester, GA, with his brother, Chad and a member of the First Baptist Church, Manchester. He was rebaptized at Abundant Life Worship Center in Manchester, GA, where he helped found a youth group FYSH FACE.
Chase loved to collect things, some of his special collections included Mountain Dew bottles, knives, flash lights, rocks, coins and baseball cards. He was a devoted father, husband, son, brother and friend and loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his father Daniel Clifton Smith, paternal grandfather Hollis D. Smith, maternal grandparents George Oscar Fuller, Jr. and Glendine Fuller and uncle Jerry Hollis Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Taylor Smith of Thomaston, GA, daughter, Graci Chase Smith of Columbus, GA, step-daughter, Aubrey Elder of Thomaston, GA, step-son, Ridge Creamer of Columbus, GA, mother, Vicki Fuller Smith of Manchester, GA, paternal grandmother, Mrs. Hollis Smith of Thomaston, GA, brother, Chad Smith and his wife Jennifer Smith of Manchester, GA, niece, Addie Smith of Manchester, GA, nephew, Austin Key of Manchester, GA and many other extended family and friends.
Funeral services for Chase Smith will be 11:00 am Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home 93 Prather-Barnes Road Manchester, GA with interment following in the Upson Memorial Garden, Thomaston, GA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.
