Randall Gene Wheeler, 68, of Buffalo Gap, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022 in Abilene.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at The Hamil Family Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Southwest Park Baptist Church with Pastor's Mike Woodard and Chuck Gililland officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Gap Cemetery. Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Randall Gene Wheeler (Randy) was born to Jimmie Joshuay and Neta Fae Wheeler on February 4, 1954 in Graham, Texas. He attended schools in Graham and Breckenridge, Texas graduating in 1972 from Breckenridge High School. He excelled in basketball and was awarded the LT Cook Award in 1972. He was saved in the Church of God in Graham, Texas at age 12. He managed 6 supermarkets, owned a Borden Milk Distributor, worked for Gandy's Dairy for 14 years and CD Hartnett for 18 years. He loved serving the Lord in deacon ministry and evangelism. He went on mission trips in 10 countries. He loved serving in the Dominican Republic. He loved his wife Kayla and bought her flowers every Friday for 28 plus years which is the entire time he knew her. They married in February 1995 and had quite a ride. Randy was a Cowboy Poet and wrote and recited many poems.

He is survived by his wife Kayla and 4 sons; Michael and wife Marianna of Mineral Wells, Brice and wife Erica of Eastland, Jere and wife Amanda of Baird and Joshua Prescott and wife Maria of Abilene; 9 grandchildren Kristen, Shelby, Amberlyn, Ariel, Gavin, Olivia, Toby, Aiden, and Brooklyn; mother Neta Wheeler and siblings Elaine Cuson and Joy Phillips.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, Buffalo Gap Missions Fund or to Love and Care Ministries.
