MICHAEL M. DAVIS

Michael M. Davis of Newton, MA passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, April 10 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Michael was born in Brooklyn, NY, to Manuel and Zelda (Krugman) Davis. He graduated from Minneola High School. He then earned a B.A. and an Sc.B. from Brown University before earning his LL.B. from Yale Law School and his LL.M. from Boston University, where he later taught courses in tax law.

Michael practiced as a Tax Attorney for Sullivan & Worcester in Boston for over 55 years and was still working full-time at the time of his passing. He was routinely honored as one of the top Tax Attorneys in the country, achieving recognition from many organizations including Boston Magazine, Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, and Super Lawyers (among many others). He advised countless closely-held businesses, real estate owners, and holders of substantial liquid assets for whom he was a valued and trusted advisor.

He is survived by his wife Beth Gordon, two children and four grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley, MA at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 13, followed by a graveside burial at Crawford Street Memorial Park (776 Baker St., West Roxbury).
