David was a retired from shipping clerk from Schwan's. He was an avid fisherman, having enjoyed the sport since childhood. David was also a fan of Bluegrass Music. He loved nothing more than time spent with his grandchildren. They watched movies, played video games and were the greatest of pals. He was a family man who also dearly loved his wife, children, brothers and sisters.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother: Paul Payton.
Left to celebrate his life and mourn his passing are his wife: Vicky Robinson Payton; son: Adam David (Abigail) Payton of Austin, TX; daughter: Mary Elizabeth (Jason) Sorrell of Warsaw; three brothers: Wayne (Debbie) Payton of Louisville; Danny (Paula) Payton of Pendleton and Jerry (Terri) Payton, of Riverview, FL; sister: Pamela (Lee) Scott, Scottsburg, IN; and five grandchildren: Ryan Sorrell, Isla Sorrell, Toby Payton, Gus Payton and Ryleigh Payton.
