Addie was born in Texas, and moved to California with her husband Albert Bartz. They had two children, Connie and Roy. Many of her family and Albert's family also moved to California, locating in Long Beach. She lived for a short time in Arizona, working at a dude ranch where Roy "Jody" worked, later returning to California. She lived with her daughter Connie and Hal Norton, and her grand daughters Chris, Tamara and Lynette when she passed away from lung cancer at age 52 years old. Roy also had two children, her grandkids, Melodee and Toby.
