Mary was born to John and Ethel Novak in Council Bluffs, IA where she attended St. Francis High School. Mary was a devoted ConAgra Foods employee, spending more than 50 years with the company. Boys Town honored Mary with the Mother of the Year Award in 2011.

Mary is survived by her loving companion, her dog Maggie.
