Madeline Moore, age 91 of Waymart, PA passed away peacefully on April 8th at Mountain View Nursing Home in Scranton, PA. Madeline was born in Long Branch, NJ and lived in Point Pleasant for 58 years before moving to Waymart, PA six years ago.
Madeline was a talented dancer in her early years. She enjoyed cooking, country music, and growing plants. She was a huge animal lover, and was very knowledgeable about local bird species. Madeline loved her Mickey Mouse collection, which was very fitting for her nickname- "Mickey." Madeline was also a long-time Yankees fan. She was a devoted mother who loved her family very much, and she did a great job raising her children by herself.
Madeline is predeceased by her parents, Morris and Edna Rhoades, son, Edmund Moore, brother, Douglas Rhoades, and sister Barbara Makris. She is survived by her sons, Jefferey Moore and his wife Susan, Marc Moore and his wife Gerianne, daughter, Sharlee Kaposztas and her fiancé Michael Brower, and grandchildren, Jennifer, Steven, Ernie, Jerome, Michael and Treze.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a viewing on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 4-7pm at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Rd., Brick. A funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow to Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.
