William Edward "Ed" Hughes, 80, formerly of Frankton, was ushered into heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, April 8, 2022.

He was born on September 26, 1941 in Overton County, Tennessee, the son of Lindell and Clema (Ledbetter) Hughes. He spent the majority of his working career as a brick mason, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Mounds Road Baptist Church. Ed will be most remembered for his hard work ethic, dedication to his family and his faith in God.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Howard Hughes, Baxter Hughes, and Bobby Hughes; son, Daniel Hughes; first wife, Kay Hughes.

He is survived by his wife, Jessann (Phillips) Hughes of Frankton; brother, Keith Hughes; sons; Alvin Hughes, Daryl (Robin) Hughes, Donovan Hughes; grandchildren, Brandon, Cody, Mason, and Brock Hughes, Jacob Colson; great grandchildren, Bracken, Ashton, Alyssa, Abby, and Libby Hughes, Carter Downing.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park.
