Son of Mary (Bresnahan) and John J Bailey. He grew up and was educated in Belmont and graduated from Northeastern University. After a tour of duty in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict, he worked for Raytheon as an electrical engineer for 37 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Norwood Elks and American Legion. He was a member of Saint Anthony's Church, serving as a lector, Eucharistic Minister and past president of the couples club. He served as president of the condo association at his former Florida community on Hutchinson Island. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Maureen Parece and Richard Bailey. Survivors include his wife, Jane P (Flanagan) Bailey; children, Kathryn A Parish of Milford, J Jeffrey Bailey and his wife, Helen of Cordova, AK, Daniel R Bailey, Jr and his wife, Eileen of Walpole and Brenda M Healy and her husband, Geoffrey of Walpole; ten grandchildren, Amanda Kirchner, Alissa Santarpia, Jessica Clifford, Rachel Bailey, Connor Bailey, Kyle Healy, Philip Bailey, Danielle Healy, Margeaux Bailey and Drew Healy; eight great grandchildren, Abigail, Jackson, Maisy, Ella, Jameson, Emersyn, Maggie, and Leonardo; and sister, Marilyn McIntire of Randolph.
