Moscow, Ia., Nov. 16 - Mrs. J. E. Parker, aged 74, died at her home in this city Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock, following a stroke suffered Monday. Private funeral services will be held at the home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, followed by public services at the Methodist church at 2:30. Burial will be in the Moscow cemetery. (Note: burial was in Greenwood Cemetery)
Sarah Lovisa Smith was born at Atalissa Dec. 20, 1855. She was married Dec. 24, 1873 to J. E. Parker and their home has always been in the Atalissa and Moscow communities. She is survived by her husband and three children, Mrs. Charles Fryberger of Muscatine, Mrs. Charles Hain of Iowa City and Ben Parker of Genoa, Ill.
