Karen was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Archie Thompson; sister, Kay Nolder, Joan Benton, and Phoebe Bartholomew; son, Larry Armantrout; and grandson, Evan Emmons. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Mercer, of the home and children: Conard K. Armantrout, Linda Shields, Quina Armantrout, Robin Belvin, and Connie Lobato. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
Karen was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling with her husband, and enjoyed going to the Oklahoma Sooners football games.
Karen loved her family very much. She also loved her church family very much, especially her pastors Dr. Doug Melton and G.D. Hardy.
Services for Karen will be April 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the chapel at Southern Hills Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or to Southern Hills Baptist Church to be used for world missions.
