James Avery "Jim" Maynard, age 64 of St. Marys community of Smith County died Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at his residence. He was born in DeKalb County October 5, 1946 to the late Lillie Mae Clemons and Ather Avery Maynard.

Jim was a laborer in construction.

He leaves behind a son: Jimmy Maynard of Buffalo Valley; two sisters: Rosie Maynard of Cookeville and Betty Jo Maynard of Silver Point; two brothers: Donald (Cindy) Maynard of Denver, Indiana and Terry Maynard of Nashville.

Memorial services were held on Monday November 29, 2010 at Cherry Hill Community Center in Silver Point.
